Big Rig Wrecker.

Every Wednesday, a bunch of us get together for wings. This weekend, my buddy Mark asked me to take some sweet pics of his daily driver Civic that he just slammed and put his new BBS RS’s on. He’s a fabricator by trade and we started talking about what it would take to make a rig. Mark spent a good portion of Saturday, and Sunday, and Monday designing and building a camera rig. This week at wings Mark came out… and brought along a little present for me to play with. We hit up a near by parkade to test out my new Car Rig. We’ve got a couple of revisions to make it a bit more versatile, but so far I’m excited to be able to start doing rig shots. We’ve already got a couple super fun ideas for this weekend if the weather holds up. Dean also came out and helped with the setup and gave some really good ideas for how to revise the rig. It helps to have friends like Dean who spend 5 years of their life studying to be an engineer and then finally put all that knowledge to use! He’s always buggin me to take pics of his gti, which used to be mine. Long story short, he saved it from a life of neglect after I sold it to some skid.

Anyways, here’s a couple teaser pics of what will be coming out of my camera this summer. Hopefully one of these days I will be able to upgrade from my Canon Rebel XT and get myself a 7D or 5D mkII.

Eff Deez nuts!

Felix. The owner of the super Fit helped me setup this shoot with Matt Chan. Matt is one of those rare kind of guys that when you meet you think… “damn, this dude’s cool.” His super chill attitude is a complete opposite of his super badass FD RX-7. This thing is mean as hell. Sounds mean. Looks mean. It even manages to have one of the nicest stances out there, and it’s on super meaty track tires. Matt used to daily drive this monster just as you see it until it became too expensive to drive everyday AND race it on the weekends. Yes, that’s right, Matt tracks this car. No, not on a drift track. No, not on a drag strip. He races his car like the dudes in JGTC racing. So much respect for a cool car and an even cooler owner.

Fit for a King.

I know a lot of you have already seen this Fit on the other forums. I shot them for Canibeat.com a while back, but I forgot to update the hardslam blog. I’m trying to make it up to you guys by posting all the latest cars that I’ve shot. 2010 is gonna be a wicked year. Hopefully, with the help of a few close friends and all of the people in the “stance dance” scene here in Vancouver we can make hardSLAM bigger and better. We already have an invitational show in the works for summer 2011. So keep an eye out at the local meets and shows for invitations on your super slammed, super dope, super ill rides.

Won’t you be my neighbor

My neighbor from down the street has this super dope Corrado, and he always asks me to take pictures for him but we never seem to have matching schedules. One day the moons were aligned perfectly and I was just pulling into my street when all of a sudden I see this super dumped car rippin it up behind me. Not only was my neighbor driving home in his Corrado, but I also had my camera in my car too. So we stopped off at one of the nicer houses on our street and took a couple quick snaps. Unfortunately, this was the only good one that I think is worth posting up.

Tic Tac Paddy Wack

A few months ago, I got together with Chris Besemer of CG Motorsport to shoot some pics of his Replicars. a collection of E30 M3’s splattered in period correct race decals and color schemes from the OG touring car days.

here are a couple pics of what transpired that night.

There’s not many things cooler than a race car rippin’ through the historic Gastown in Vancouver. What’s more is that this particular race car happened to be one of our good buddies personal E30 BMW M3’s with a sick stance. BBS RS’s in gold with some serious race inspired camber. I don’t think the front lip got a break from scraping down the cobble stone street.

hardslammed.

It’s all about the stance of a vehicle. It doesn’t matter what make, model, or year you’re driving.

If your car’s got stance, it doesn’t need to have a $100 000.00 price tag, or a $9000.00 paint job. It doesn’t need to be laying frame or poking rim. This blog is all about cars with the right stance. No sissies need apply. If you’re scared of a little tire rubbing, or some paint chipping its gonna be tough to get hardslammed.

air'd out, slammed hard.
